Led by photographer Greg Newington and recorded by author Matthew Eberz, you will spend ten (10) days in South Australia observing and recording the most unique and diverse subjects you’ve ever attempted to photograph. Once you join us at the hotel there are no fees for meals, transportation so put your credit cards away and lets shoot some memorable photos.
After meeting you at the Adelaide Airport we will gather at our hotel in Adelaide, where you will meet the staff and other tour members, participate in safety briefing, GPS briefing, and equipment preparation. There will be a social that evening, dinner and wine tasting. It was a long flight so it will be an early night.
Remember, they drive on the LEFT side in Australia. On my first visit I almost didn't make it out of the airport.
Travel light. We will be moving to different sites and the more you pack the more you have to haul. It will be summer so dress accordingly. Recommend hiking boots.
Departing on day 2 to Kangaroo Island which is a nature lover's paradise, with prolific native wildlife, dramatic coastal sightseeing and bountiful farmlands. Kangaroo Island, 13km (8mi) off the coast of South Australia, is one of the best places in Australia to see wild animals like koalas, kangaroos, sea lions and seals.
Kangaroo Island is a wild, natural and beautiful place. We look to be in small, cottage-type places with great views - don't expect hot tubes and workout centers.
The natural formations on Kangaroo Island are many, from the unusual rock formations, to the grassy plains, to majestic shores. Enough diversity for a lifetime of photography.

Cruise the Murray RIver in a luxury houseboat, complete with observation deck, cabins, and galley. Sleep onboard to the gentle sounds of the river and its life.
See an interesting site from the houseboat, pull over, and take to the shore. Off the beaten path you often find the treasures.
Departing on day 8 to the Flinders Ranges, you step into another world. A world of desert life, working sheep stations, kangaroos and sites that seem time has forgotten. This is the land of hard-working people in a very inhospitable environment, but with so much to offer. Think the American West in the 1800's.
You won't find a Hilton, or Ritz hotel out here. This is the land of ranches, that can provide a unique guest experience-not with all the comforts of home, but enough to keep you warm and please the palate.
The strange sights are not just odd animals, or abandoned train stations, it can be like this, a canoe on wheels in a field hundreds of mile from any water. Strange!
